Ways to Treat Panic Attack Successfully

OK has highlighted that while many people have fears and anxiety, but for about a 1/5th of the population they are bad enough to effect them on a daily basis. They also report some ways to treat panic attack and other disorders successfully.
According to the article, some celebrities that have irrational fears include:
1 - Uma Thurman - claustrophobia;
2 - Tobey Maguire - fear of heights;
3 - Nicole Kidman - fear of butterflies.

OK also listed the following disorders that are related to panic attacks. It’s not uncommon to also have symptoms of these problems, not just the panic attacks themselves.

4 Agoraphobia – open or public spaces
5 Claustrophobia – enclosed spaces
6 Emetophobia – vomiting
7 Acrophobia (vertigo) – heights
8 Cancerphobia – developing cancer
9 Brontophobia – thunderstorms
10 Necrophobia – death (your own or others’)

Of interest to me is the following quote from Dr Dick Middleton, chairman of the British Herbal Medicine Association: ‘Recent research conducted at Northumbria University has shown that acute treatment with a combination of valerian and lemon balm can help improve mood and anxiety thus reducing stress levels and promoting calm.’
As you can see there are a number of ways to treat panic attack and its related problems. You should investigate which treatment is of interest to you and what you think would work in your circumstances.
